Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive an actual locomotive?
The YWR is delighted to be able to give you the opportunity to do just that!
Under the supervision of one of our friendly drivers, and after a little training, you will be handed the controls of our locomotive “Sir Tatton Sykes” for a drive up and down our line – twice!
Due to the nature of this experience, all driver experiences need to be pre-booked by purchasing a ticket in advance. For the 2024 season, driver experiences will be run on 18 May, 15 June, 20 July, 17 August and 21 September. Your experience will last approximately 25 minutes. Once we receive notification of your purchase, we will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable time and date of those available for your experience to proceed.
The 2024 experiences will be closed from 21 September. Purchases after this date will be processed for the 2025 season once the experience dates are known.
ALL RIDES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILBILITY
