Au contraire!
The hugely successful Santa specials are the result of fantastic teamwork by a lot of dedicated volunteers. No bossing, no bullying, just joyfully working together

I thought it was another 'Wow' moment for the railway.
Only 11 years ago, we had just got onto the site.....

'Au contraire!' indeed Alan.
Yesterday, and hopefully next Saturday too, showed what good leadership and a group of enthusiastic volunteers can achieve. Well done EVERYone!

It is really nice to see a dream finally come true. Well done everyone. I think it has helped to have some snow around to make it more authentic.

Re: Saturday 2nd December
A grand day yesterday with a very busy brake van and many positive comments from parents and grandparents about having a nice warm refuge.
Thankfully there was some additional volunteers turned up, who provided a much needed hand for passengers boarding the brake van in the freezing conditions. I was very impressed with how well Eddie started, as was Skipper, this is an old design of engine with no glow plugs, which shows that it must still have plenty of compression!
From yesterdays experience, I personally believe that there are one or two things that need to be addressed for site opening and operation in very cold conditions, in order to prevent any delay in the availability of visitor facilities. at the stated opening time. More of this later.

Thanks Andy, you won't need to me say that its positive (or negative) feedback, along with workable solutions to improve from those in the know that allows us all to keep things moving forward
