Ebay

Post by 4008 »

Hello

We are putting a call out for a member to step forward and take over the running of our Ebay shop. We have so many items in the coach that need to be sold on!

We do have an Ebay shop all set up and ready to go. I can give a tutorial (if required) on how it all works and it would be perfect for someone who is looking to assist the railway in a "clean hands" working from home role!

What would you need?
All you would need are a digital camera (or phone to take photos of the products), a computer, printer and access to the internet. A little knowledge of Ebay would also be beneficial! You would also need space to store stock and an area for packing.

What would you have to do?
The YWR Ebay shop would be run by YOU for the benefit of the YWR. You would set pricing (taking into account Ebay fees of around 10% of the final sale price and postage), take the product shots, upload all these to Ebay and write the description. You would need to communicate and reply to all queries and then ensure the products are posted to the winner in a timely matter.

What would the YWR provide?
The YWR would work with you to provide all you need such as packing materials and envelopes (unless you wanted to sort these yourself to further support the YWR). It would also provide tech support and even bring you the items to sell if that is what was needed and could be arranged.

How does this benefit the YWR?
By bringing in much needed funds and allow us to turn our ever increasing stock into much needed funds!

If you feel you could assist in this way, please get in touch by posting in this forum, or email matthew@yorkshirewoldsrailway.org.uk.

Thank you!
