Work in Progress

Just bear in mind that if you put the aluminium panels over a fire they ste only 20/22 gauge and will melt and fire off white hot balls if they get too hot .

Thank you very much to you all for keeping the fundraising stuff safe and especially to Alan and Keith for sorting the shop counter. Fantastic work guys.

Re: Work in Progress
Well we had a good day at Fimber today. Phil and Matthew came to see us and explain all about the Leader grant and where we go from here. This was most informative and all volunteers were grateful for their time and willingness to explain and answer questions. WE would welcome a regular attendance by the Board as this makes us feel valued and is an opportunity to share information aspirations and ideas.
After our directors departed it was business as usual and we got on with our work.
Capt Al and big Dave carried on with the small;l caravan demolition.
Keith got to grips with the shop counter which is looking good.
And Will and Brian did more sleeper works. Sorry no photo (It's a long way through the mud to where they were working!)

Re: Work in Progress
It's a good sign of progress, but also sad to see the small caravan's demise. It was the first thing on the site back in the day & I have many memories of those times.
Matthew & I enjoyed the meeting & also found it very useful. It helped to make us feel valued, too. We will endeavour to arrange a regular get-together.

A site meeting this morning to discuss the coming track works, but not much happening outside (except William diligently moving more sleepers, of course).

Re: Work in Progress
Levelled off the remaining track this morning. Just need to infill with ballast, check everything, we can then handover a length of rail to the running line.
