Wasn't the sledmere/fimber box a simple wooden structure on the platform ?
Richard Bond - willing volunteer
Re: Level Crossings
Yes a standard NER design for small stations and level crossings. The one in the middle of the NRM and the one at Coxwold are to the same pattern.dodger wrote:Wasn't the sledmere/fimber box a simple wooden structure on the platform ?
Re: Level Crossings
I heard the mayor of driffield is going to support this project and that the YWR is his charity of the year. So he might let you build a level crossing.

Re: Level Crossings
Hi yes the new mayor has chosen us as his charity for the year and for which we are overjoyed. Level crossings are something for the highways department of ERYCC

Re: Level Crossings
Major crossing where at:
Skerne Road
Driffield West
Little Driffield
Garton (scrap dealers)
Garton Slack
Wetwang
Fimber (1)
Fimber (2)
North Grimston
Settrington
There may have been other smaller ones, and certainly some occupational crossings like that at Wetwang Green Lane.

Re: Level Crossings
Well, I'm not sure if its technical name was Fimber 1 - that was just my way of differentiating one from the other!eyersey468 wrote:Presumably the former level crossing next to site was Fimber 1.
