Another busy weekend in the run up to opening day.

The planters have been rejuvenated for this year with new plant stock which will provide extra colour on site.

BBC's Look North were on site today for nearly 3 hours to film around 2 minutes :shock: of footage for the TV. This should be shown tomorrow (Thursday), subject to other news items.

Many volunteers managed to get to the site as requested by the BBC & member George Alcock kindly came along to recount some memories of the line in use:
