but wouldn't it be better if we maanaged to keep as many of the brick and other stone as possible. I mean take the sandstones, they aren't cheap to buy

Forgot to say,heard a rumour that all of the brick rubble and sand stones are going back to birdsall estate. They shall be most probably going to fill in the old gas works at the rear of birdsall house so don't hang about or it'll be gone!

just to let u all know. on monday the 23rd of november 2009 the north yorkshire county council shall be removing the sides of the old bridge down at wharram. This is because it is apparently to dangerous for the public.from monday the road shall be shut off.

just read thixendale village hall notice board today, it says that warwick burton the author of 'the malton and driffield junction railway' is doing a talk on the line at the village hall on the 26th of march. The meeting is to start at 7.30 pm.
