Re: Memorial ride for Dave Myers
Despite the intermittent weather we had a cracking day! 97 visitors who spent £361.65. Downside was the toilet tank was full so I had to shut them. The diesel ran out on the Jenny so had to fill it up getting diesel everywhere trying to do it on my own until Matthew Brown stepped in to help despite being in his best Sunday clothes! Then the till decided to play up! Not helped by me not knowing how to replace the paper! Another lesson needed on Wednesday! A very busy day! A day in the life of an ops manager!!

Thanks Celia.
Lots of challenges well navigated by the sounds of it!

I can't understand the toilet tank being full. I only checked it a week last Wednesday and it was only 2/3rds full. I suppose we have been open for four days since then, but I thought it would be OK. Most workers now regularly wash their hands in the toilets which doesn't help.

It did make a change to see so many well-behaved bikers for once, and not just passing Fimber Halt.

This could be done in the process of moving the BT hut and placing the Carnaby cabin. The tin shed standing by the signal box could be used to contain the sink making it more comfortable to use in wet weather. I know it is damaged but I believe it can be repaired and due to its nice paint job, would not be an eyesore.

I agree the outside sink needs to be reinstated, as someone has said everyone is now using the toilets to wash their hands
