Class 03 D2051 for sale.
Just come across this loco for sale, not that I'm saying we should buy it (be a nice little number though ) but it was the locomotive number that caught my eye ! Bit of local history eh ?

Dairycoates loco, with a nice local connection.
When did it last run? Would be a nice project for a vac / air loco. Shall we buy it?

Can we focus on something that doesn’t need restoring and something that actually runs/works for a change?
….. Maybe not such a bad idea …… Just saying!

We already have resto projects with too few people working.
Lets not increase the workload.

Do we really need another Shunter anyway.
It brings back the aged old question of what kind of railway are we hoping to achieve.
If it is industrials/Shunters then if the price is right it is possibly ideal.
If we hope to expand into operating with larger heritage locomotives, then we should save our money.
