2018 running season

Post by 4008 »

We are now open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until October 28th - An outstanding service part has sadly not arrived with the supplier meaning that Sir Tatton Sykes will not be running this weekend, however static cab tours will be available.

We look forward to welcoming you to site!

What a brilliant day today was!
The sun was out.
Driver for a fiver was very busy.
The kids were entertained.
I re-opened the coach after 5 to show more visitors around.
New members.
Lots of donations.
A cracking day. Let there be more!

As Matthew said, some cracking weather over the weekend!

The railway saw 117 visitors over the two days, received new membership applications and entertained the public with 9 'Driver For A Fiver' sessions on the footplate of our locomotive no. 5576 Sir Tatton Sykes !

If you have a friend or family member who you think might fancy the opportunity of taking the controls of a real locomotive this year, feel free to book your place now - this can be done when you visit us on a Sunday or Monday running day or through our web site via Paypal.

Just click on the following web link to take you to our online shop and the chance to drive 5576 and realise your dream !

Sorry Ivan, could not get up to site this weekend to pic up the calander, as I was on an install.
Will try and get up there this weekend if all is good.
Glad to hear that we had a good weekend anyhow :)

Another excellent running day yesterday with more fabulous weather and 68 visitors on site during the day. The railway took just over £142 and gained a further membership.

There was also the scooter club visit and the presence of the stationery steam engine.

A pic or two from the day also.
