A picture from today's working party:
The guys are digging out a strip of road planings opposite the gate & filling with soil so that the tree & shrub border can be planted in due course.

Re: Work in Progress
David Tite, Driffield Show director for Driffield Agricultural Society, has been extremely helpful to the YWR since we started & continued in this theme today, arriving on site to show us how to & help to install the fence wiring. He has done a super job & gave up his day to volunteer with many of our own members.
The day went very well & the fence is almost finished & looks excellent. Here are a few pictures of the day:
Alan came down to carry on with the coach renovation:

It looks good but you would have been better off putting it by the gate!Turnip Town wrote:A rather nice new site sign at today's working party. Very professional!

I imagine it will go by the gate once we're open but we've got to complete all the site works as required by our planning consent before we can open which includes the tree planting.

Re: Work in Progress
With all due respect if we're going to wait until we have met all the conditions of the planning then we will never open as the planning "Notice of Decision" specifically states that "The development hereby permitted shall be carried out in accordance with the following approved plans" and goes on to list all the plans submitted with the application. These plans, amongst other things, show an empty space where we have put our running line, the perimeter fence following a different line from the one we have erected and a platform 50m x 4m in size.Turnip Town wrote:I imagine it will go by the gate once we're open but we've got to complete all the site works as required by our planning consent before we can open which includes the tree planting.
