I’m in danger of being controversial with my comment because in reality every volunteer is valuable and their contribution appreciated. People volunteer in different ways and we need every contribution. My comment was about how physically hard their volunteering is and wanted to pay tribute to them.

Wednesday 10th January and we are getting there. If you zoom into the photo, we need to cut and drill two lengths of rail.
1 bad sleeper was changed for a better one. Best to do it now while the rails are out.
Then it's the job of packing, levelling and trueing.
A great big thank you to our volunteers.

Fantastic work by our new volunteers.
Please bear in mind, it will need doing again before painting.

27th January 2024 was another brilliant day for the Pway gang.
Finished off the areas we can do within the station for the time being by securing a few chairs by drilling and screwing.
We also slewed the track towards the West. It's straight as a die now!
The remains of the day spent tidying the bottom of field 2 with the view of making everything accessible and out of the way of future development.
On a personal note, this is something I have been wanting to do for a number of years.

The old mess tourer caravan base has been pulled from its grave and is now near the new new scrap heap pile in field 2.

Ground signal that was in The VB (now moved as generator shed) is in store in S&T tge other heavy item that was also in the Field 2 VB (see photo attached) is unwanted

Further work has been carried out on the electrification of the MK1

We now have 4 Double 240 volt sockets in the MKI.

There is one next to the video screen, one next to the model railway, one above the velocipede and the original on the coach end near the bench where the main feed comes into the MKI

Keith has made a link to the MKII power feed with a plug which enables us to detach the cables to allow the coach to be moved when required.

See the attached photos for locations.
