An excellent day's work again today with 11 volunteers enjoying the good weather (& a bacon sandwich or two)!

The new caravan / office / meeting room / storage space was carefully pushed towards its home at the back of the site:

Hardcore has been added to the slip adjacent to the track in preparation for the addition of soft road planings in order to provide a safe, level and well drained refuge for volunteers from passing trains.

Fencing work has continued with the footpath to the council picnic site being treated today after the main site two weeks ago. A contractor will then drive the posts in to the correct depth and wire will be installed.

The lower portions of the door interiors at both ends of the coach are being repanelled with new tongue & groove boards to replace old rotted timbers.

Redecoration has now commenced on the interior of the north end of the coach to make it cleaner and brighter for it's future use.

The rain kept off for most of the time today. It allowed our loco the time to mimic one of its Vulcan Foundry brethren - the legendary 'Deltic' :D
