This next photo shows the fencing as seen from the the platform but was taken before the pedestrian gate was added.

Work will continue to ad the siding gates and surface the area between the end of the platform and the fencing/pedestrian gate.

Good work by Skipper and Steve on Wednesday and others in the weeks before.

It actually stayed dry despite the forecast so a good range of jobs done today. As Alan was away I took a few photos to show what we’d been busy doing. Keith fitting electric supply into Mk 2 coach. Will dug a new post hole for the passenger gate and fixed some fencing. Adrienne clearing more if the Fimber Halt garden.

Bryan painted another gate post and then worked on the small gate. Lewis and Dave planed all of the planks ready for the signal box. I started work on Patricia’s panels and nose piece.

This is not about what happened today but I photographed it today. Ian finished painting the lines on th Mk1 to complete its repaint. It looks splendid!

Painting coaches and other rolling stock is reminiscent of the painting of the Fourth bridge. It’s never really finished. This coach needs its ends painting and there are wooden parts in need of attention. So, work will continue in the new year.
