We have seats available from the Mk 2 coach if anyone is interested in them? Collection from Fimber Halt. Donations gratefully received.

A couple of quick thoughts:
  • We could put an advert on the Carriage Exchange web site http://www.carriage-exchange.org.uk/ wouldn't have to put a price, it's free, and it would give us some publicity. The chap who runs the site does it as part of his hobby, although he is employed by a heritage railway and part of his role is being the manager responsible for the carriage stock.
  • I personally wouldn't let them go for too cheap a donation
Adrian

PS On the Carriage Exchange there may be someone wanting just cushions or just base, or just the tables.

There was at least another four more seats removed yesterday ( Keith myself and I believe John ) along with the parcel luggage racks . In preparation for conversion to the shop.
The space where the seating etc was should make room for a impressive shop area. Wether or not people like or dislike what the railway is doing this to the MK2 coach . At least it will be put to good use.
