Martyn (ops director) did say it was against railway regs to have different names on the same box.

That might depend on where they are placed, the Sprotbrough is a nod to its history, Fimber South is its name.
I believe the idea is part of the interpretation and likely to go on the back wall

I suspect if we only have one 'box, this won't actually be an issue.

We could have done with this conversation on signage location weeks ago, before the box was marked and drilled for fixing.

It needs to be clarified as soon as possible.

A flat packed ikea style signal cabin, no instructions apart from just add a Rodger and crew 😀

These are not new, but it does not hurt to give them an airing to remind people of the mammoth task that was undertaken in getting this wonderful piece of history back to sight and the many hours of labour that have gone into bringing the box back to life again.

The four levers were picked up from Gatehouse Services yesterday after being blasted and were brought to site this morning.
The levers were power wire brushed off, to remove the sharp edges, and were then given a first coat of primer.

The New Holland Pier signal box was built by the Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway, as was the lever frame and levers. These are very old, but in great condition.
