Bear in mind the haulage cost if you’re thinking of bidding!

Also you say “turn outs” but the tender describes them as a “common crossing”. Are we sure they’re turn outs?

They’re in Keith up here in North East Scotland, only half an hour away from where I live.

Transporting 55’ long rails from here to Yorkshire will not be cheap. There’s over 32t in total too so two trucks would be needed.

Sadly, with a minimum bid of 5k plus probably the same for transport, we just don't have the funds for it :(

I do hope that at least one individual on the board is also on the heritage NR tender list, you never know what up for disposal next.

Is It not possible to try to seek possible track nearer to home ,to reduce the hauLage cost , and buying cost? That would surely seem the better sensible option.
There could be a lot more track to come from the newbridge P/ way yard on the NYMR . It’s definitely worth enquiring about in the future. And ithe hauLage cost shouldn't be to bad to.
