My Mandys Grandad worked on the Driffield line. He used to call his loco the Coffee Pot.

Coffee pot was possibly a nickname for one of the LNER Y1 or Y3 Sentinels that were allocated to Malton Shed?

I’ve Just been looking at the photo and underneath the number , it looks chalk marking the name Alf
Does this ring any bells any clues ? :D
