Plus of course if someone won it for £720 then that means there was at least one other person prepared to pay £700 for it too who dropped out of the bidding at that point.

I was happy for them to think it was worth that because I was selling it But it was only "worth" that because of the rarity of the station and my point was that the buyer wasn't sure that was where it came from until I said it was. About 10 years ago I was offered a crusty old handlamp brass plated "NER" "Burdale" and "M&DR"and he wanted £900 for it. Would it sell for that in auction ? Probably. Did I buy it ? No.
