Model Burdale Quarry

Post by jael » Fri Jan 12, 2018 5:19 pm

There is an interesting model in this month's Railway Modeller of what Burdale quarry may have been like if the railway had not closed.

Certainly, as it is not a publication I read, can someone please let me know any contact details for this person?
Name, email, any clubs he belongs to etc. and I will do my best to contact him.

Thanks :)

The layout is owned by Tony Kell and will next be exhibited at Pontefract and Normanton Railway Modellers Show in Pontefract on Jan 27 and 28. The contact for that show is www.nprms.org who may pass messages along as may the Railway Modeller itself.

Just a reminder if we want to be in the events for the April edition (published 2nd Thursday of March) then the deadline is February 1st.

I am sure Mr Kell will have spent a good deal of time researching Burdale before building the model, therefore there is a good chance that he knows something that we don't know about the railway at Burdale, and may have some "new" photos.

Unfortunately not as its his own layout I'm helping operate,I've met Tony Kell before and he's a really good bloke so I'm sure he'll be happy to help for out.
