Although I like the Colas Rail colours, I cannot help but still like the BR large logo blue in which 56 105 emerged from BREL Doncaster during 1984 or thereabouts !

I see 56006 (Romanian built loco) and at least one other are now preserved. I wonder if we could make use of a 3,250bhp diesel loco at Fimber ?! Not sure what axle loading they are though! 17 - 18 tons ?

Although this topic is not meant to be about units... It's a fairly rare occurrence for a class 142/144 to make it north of Beverley nowadays on the Wolds Coast, the attached photo sees 142063 at Bridlington awaiting to work 2W28 to Hull.

Bouncing onto the YWR soon... hopefully! ;) :D
