Driffield Show 2017.

Postby Turnip Town » Sat Jul 08, 2017 11:45 am

Just a quick reminder that Yorkshire Wolds Railway volunteers will be staffing the railway's display at Driffield Show on Wednesday 19th July at Driffield Showground (9.00am - 5.00pm, Driffield Showground, Kelleythorpe, Driffield, YO25 9FB).

In addition to having a grand day out at the show, why not pop across to our display and have a natter with our friendly volunteers and find out a little more about the railway ?

If you have an interest in joining us as an active or passive member, that's excellent and will be very much appreciated.

We have a diverse mix of ages ranging from the younger volunteers in their teens and twenties through to working age people and those who are retired and enjoy the opportunity to add a little spice to their weekly routine with a little volunteering at the railway and rubbing shoulders with their compatriots.

Indeed our Wednesday working parties, or 'Wednesdayites', as our Volunteer Liason Officer Alan Cooper has christened them, has become quite a jolly social group quite apart from the various tasks they undertake for the railway!
