Here's a pic or two showing progress on the railway's entry to the Wetwang Scarecrow Festival 2017.

Any thoughts as to what our entry is ? ;)

Also a couple of pics of current progress on restocking the garden with new bedding plants, including one of the railway's new advertising banners.

The quality of that scarecrow looks better than how some houses are built

Well done & the site is coming on great!

Spent the day on site today with Paul, Ian and Skipper. Paul attended to some faulty warning lights in the loco whilst Ian continued with the time consuming job of painting lines on the field side of the Coach.

Skipper and I have cleared the area between the timber store and the workshop. Some of the materials there have been placed close to the workshop which leaves the area clear so that the trailer van can be parked here following its repair.

Here is a photo of that area.
This clear area is for parking the trailer van and nothing else!

Woe betide anyone who dumps ANYTHING here!!! You will be set upon by Skipper who will hold you down whilst I reek revenge with anything I can lay my hands on from the workshop.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Afterwards I cut the grass at the front of the site and Skipper strimmed the banking alongside of the track. Unfortunately it rained about half past two so we had to stop.

So excited about the scarecrow, Alan you are a genius!! Those carriages will make a great addition to the site afterwards too!! Well done! (I know what it is, so I won't let on).
The site is really starting to look fab, thanks to everyone's hard work and dedication. :)

Your praise is directed to the wrong person. I only cut the parts to make a construction kit. Richard and Ivan have done all the hard work. Well done to them!

Construction of the mystery thingy nears completion. I think it's possible to guess what it is now!

A new activity for the children is taking shape. It is a miniature bowling ally! Should provide a bit of fun for kids and parents alike.

Rumour has it that Brian is constructing a 'Splat the Rat' which will be another fun item to keep people on site a bit longer. No photo yet.
