When I first came to live in Cranswick there was a signal box at the crossing gates. This box was removed some time in the 80s I think and I didn't have the foresight to photograph it before and during its removal. I have a copy of Herbert Johnson's 'Tale of Two Villages ' and there are two photos of the box in it taken C1905. The photos clearly show that the box was then a single storey building but it definitely was a two storey building when I saw it from 1978. Does anyone know when it was redeveloped?
If you have any photos and are agreeable to them being scanned I would be most grateful.
Many thanks, Alan

Re: Hutton Cranswick signal box
HI Allan I am on this hoping to get hold of a construction drawing of this box it was a S4 box and was still in situ in 1988, A friend had the signalling diagram from cranswick box but sold it not knowing what he had, I have contacted the signalling record society and Mick Nicholson has offered help too, and still looking for all the point rodding wire runs for the lead off
