Quiz of the day
Re: Quiz of the day
This is a really good one! I do actually know where this one is, but I'm going to wait for someone else to get it. What's interesting is that ok google earth, there is hardly any visible signs of the tracks either leading to or away from it!

Is it on the Driff - Market Weighton line?

Re: Quiz of the day
It looks like the bridge at Everthorpe to me, which is on the old Hull and Barnsley line.

Okay, I'll spoil the party. If I am correct, it the bridge just east of Bainton, on the old Driffield to Market Weighton line. It on the back road between Kirkburn and the main road near Etton. Fantastic road for cycling on.
Never noticed the sign though. Must be going too fast over it

I used to live in Bainton as a child and my Dad and I would often cycle to this bridge and talk about the railway!
This post inspired me to go down there last night with Ivan and refresh my memories. Thanks for posting it Matthew.
We also went for a stroll a bit further down the line at Middleton on the Wolds, on the ridiculously high embankment!!
