Not quite Driffield, but Pirdop in Bulgaria last week. Nice to see ex-BR 87004 "Britannia" still in BR blue with names attached:

And ex East German diesel traction in the shape of a 'Ludmilla':

It looks like all Bulgarians have their Personal Track Safety qualifications:

Believe it or not, next came a man with a cow...

At the moment, we're getting top + tail class 20s on Railhead Treatment Trains (RHTTs) through Driffield to Bridlington, booked for M/W/F - the first ran yesterday. I can post the planned timings if anyone requires them. They are late afternoon to Brid & early evening back.

Last Sunday's empty coaching stock going back to Carnforth behind celebrity 'spoon' 47580, taken between Arram & Beverley.

Rail Head Treatment Train time again:

20312 & 20302 through Driffield on 19 October.

Believe it or not, today's train with 37716 & 68003 was terminated at Hull rather than going to Bridlington. The reason..? It was realised that both locos were too heavy for this line...

Indeed Ed, - apparently the '68s have an axle loading that's too high (only 4 - wheel bogies, like the '67s) & the class 37/7 is a 'heavy' 37; the ones we usually get are 37/4 or 37/6... Although I suppose the '68 on the back was the main issue.
