Funny how you miss things right under your nose!

Please take time to post a message about your memories of the Malton to Driffield railway. No matter how small they are, it is always great to hear stories from the past.

Funny how you miss things right under your nose!

Post by Turnip Town »

Just noticed this the other day. I assume it was entrance to the goods yard that used to be on the Malton side of the Fimber Road level crossing. Funny how many times I have driven past and never noticed it!

I always thought that there was just a goods crane next to the line as it crossed over into the station site, as opposed to a full yard as such.

A trinket or two still extant on the station site also.

Fencing that was on the Fimber village side of the station, hard up to the B1253 level crossing.
