Train parts made in Beverley

I came across this ad in 1970s railway directory, does anyone know anymore about this company?

Re: Saturday 2nd December

The NYMR video shows that people need to be very careful what they do on the railway, as there is always the possibility that someone is watching! And it’s obviously much worse on the mainline, where there are people on bridges, in their houses, hiding behind trees etc!

Re: Saturday 2nd December

A grand day yesterday with a very busy brake van and many positive comments from parents and grandparents about having a nice warm refuge. Thankfully there was some additional volunteers turned up, who provided a much needed hand for passengers boarding the brake van in the freezing conditions. I wa...

The person that bought the Ruston 88DS from the Yorkshire Dales Railway

If you remember some of us discussed this loco about 6 months ago.
Well, here is the video of the guy that bought it, and using Pete Briddon's haulage company.

Bachmann 00 model of YWR brake van B955043

Not sure if anyone has spotted this one, but Bachmann have done various versions of the BR 20T brake van, including one with the same TOPS number as ours, which is a track cleaner. Although it says in the description that the BV is B9550423, it is numbered B955043 on the actual model. It is quite ex...

Re: Class 03 D2051 for sale.

Ed, you are absolutely right and the railway needs to spend its own money on track and infrastructure as a priority. So this is where private / group purchase and ownership of locos and rolling stock comes in, and the YWR will need to embrace this, as has 95% of other heritage railways, for a very g...

Dairycoates loco, with a nice local connection.
When did it last run? Would be a nice project for a vac / air loco. Shall we buy it?

Re: Tollerton Shark brake van.

The two Trout Farm shark brake vans that were purchased for conversion to glamping are still at the end of the siding next to High Mill crossing. The one with the cabin is through air piped and has a superb frame and running gear, albeit it needs some serious work on the timber cabin. The bare frame...
