Re: Toad brake van from NYMR
I'm looking at possible sources of grant for saving the NER body mentioned earlier in the thread, but even if that is successful it is unlikely to go to the NYMR in the short term and so could be made available for use as a temporary store or similar in return for the promise of some TLC, if we are...

Re: Work in Progress
I don't see why. Some time ago, you asked me how I would progress your project, as I was having some sport about tunnel re - boring schemes, and the like. I seem to remember saying I'd forget (the then being projected) proposals for the old station site, and go to one side of the road at Fimber,or t...

Re: Toad brake van from NYMR
And so the rolling stock wish list is re-born  I personally love the Ruston Hornsby industrial diesels, and id love to see some of the carriages in use for passenger trains at Fimber, but that decision wouldn't be up to me To keep things realistic, the only coaches on that list are the two XP6...

Re: Toad brake van from NYMR
Most of the weight of any brake van, is the concrete floor! There's not much in the way of steel there. Have a feeling it may be privately owned too, so may be a case of coming to an arrangement with a third party. If there is serious interest, please contact Park St, if you haven't done so already....

Re: Where should we distribute leaflets?
Two thoughts: 1. Surely where you display your leaflets, should depend on who you are trying to reach with them? As should the content of them. 2. Aren't leaflets a bit "old hat" these days? You seem to be doing pretty well at getting coverage in the local press, enthusiast press, on local...

Re: "There's no money"
With the Leemside line being lifted at this moment, have you attempted to scrounge anything from there?
